Commonly Asked Questions
1.
Do
you charge travel fees?
We
cover paved road areas from Manteo to Corolla, with no additional travel
fees. There is a surcharge
for areas outside the service area and for areas that are off-road.
2.
Do
you provide your own equipment and are you able to perform for
outdoor/beach weddings?
If
you are booking a wedding for acoustic piano, obviously you will need to
have a piano at your wedding location (i.e. churches).
If you would like electric keyboard, we provide the keyboard and
all amplification equipment that is required for an indoor or outdoor
event. Depending on the
location and equipment required, you may need to provide an electrical
outlet. For a beach wedding,
we supply a small battery-powered amplifier.
3.
What
time do you arrive?
We
arrive approximately 25 minutes prior to scheduled performance time and
stay until the conclusion of the ceremony.
4.
Do
you attend rehearsals?
We
do not attend rehearsals.
All details will be determined prior to the ceremony and we feel
confident that we can perform the services contracted without
rehearsals.
5.
Do you schedule a consultation
prior to the wedding?
I
highly encourage a consultation prior to the ceremony.
At this meeting we can discuss all details of your wedding music
and answer any questions you may have.
Sometimes distance prevents a consultation, in which case we
will discuss details over the phone.
6.
What
is the process for booking a wedding?
You
may secure your date by signing the contract and paying a $150
nonrefundable deposit, which goes toward your total fee.
Balance of the fee is required two weeks prior to the wedding,
with checks made payable to Natalie Drummond.
7.
Do
you have a policy for inclement weather?
We
are accustomed to playing in less than optimal conditions (wind, light
rain, etc.). However, in
cases of heavy rain or extremely cold temperatures, we physically cannot
operate under such conditions.
With that in mind, we ask that you have an alternate location in
mind for your wedding in case of extreme weather conditions.
In the case of a mandatory evacuation, your deposit will be
refunded.
8.
Will
you perform a special request that is not on your standard repertoire
list?
Yes,
but only if the piece is requested at least two months prior to the
ceremony- this gives us time to purchase and rehearse the music.
9.
Will you accompany a vocalist?
Yes.
There is an additional $50 fee for accompanying a vocalist.
This fee covers a rehearsal with the vocalist prior to the
ceremony (this is absolutely essential).
You will be required to send a copy of the vocalist’s song(s) at
least one month prior to the ceremony.
